چکیده

Abstract Due to challenges associated with lavender propagation, Texas hybrid (lavandin) growers require revised propagation information. Therefore, experiments investigated effects of media and plant growth regulators (PGR) on rooting three different lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) cultivars. PGRs applied cuttings were naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), or indole-3-butyric (IBA) at concentrations. In addition, four examined. Cuttings exposed a peat moss/sand medium had the greatest mean overall percentage, number roots, regardless cultivar, longest roots. general, data also for dipped in NAA 0.5 1.0 g·L−1 (500 1000 ppm, respectively). Overall, across all PGR treatments ‘Grosso' tended have percentage compared no treatment, ‘Provence' ‘Hidcote Giant' greater concentrations produced an increased longer When cultivars, results indicate correct selection, formulation, concentration determine success. Index words: lavandin, Lavandula intermedia Emeric ex Loisel, moss, perlite, root quality, sand. Chemicals used this study: (IBA; 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 g.L−1); (NAA; g.L−1). Species ‘Grosso', ‘Provence', Loisel.).

Proteomic Analysis through Adventitious Rooting of Pinus radiata Stem Cuttings with Different Rooting Capabilities

In forest production systems, vegetative propagation of elite clones through adventitious rooting is a common practice. In Chile, adventitious rooting is the main methodology for vegetative reproduction of Pinus radiata. However, the capability of produce adventitious roots in gymnosperms decreases with aging. While it is true that some efforts have been made to identify markers or/and regulato...

When stress and development go hand in hand: main hormonal controls of adventitious rooting in cuttings

Adventitious rooting (AR) is a multifactorial response leading to new roots at the base of stem cuttings, and the establishment of a complete and autonomous plant. AR has two main phases: (a) induction, with a requirement for higher auxin concentration; (b) formation, inhibited by high auxin and in which anatomical changes take place. The first stages of this process in severed organs necessari...

Genetic variation in rooting ability of loblolly pine cuttings: effects of auxin and family on rooting by hypocotyl cuttings.

After about 20 days, hypocotyl cuttings from 20-day-old loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.) seedlings rooted easily in the presence of the auxin indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), with roots forming directly from xylem parenchyma. In contrast, woody cuttings from 1-2-year-old hedged seedlings formed roots indirectly from callus tissue in 60-90 days, but IBA had little effect on rooting. Variation in rooti...

Propagation of Thornless Blackberries Utilizing Adventitious Shoots from Root Cuttings

Studies were conducted in early 2003 to determine the effect of root source and length on yield of adventitious shoots and plant yield from root cuttings of Arkansas-developed thornless blackberries. In the first study, roots from ‘Arapaho’ and ‘Apache’ plants grown in an aboveground bed containing commercial potting soil were compared to field-grown roots. Bed-grown roots averaged 6.9 shoots p...

Mineral nutrition and adventitious rooting in microcuttings of Eucalyptus globulus.

We characterized the adventitious rooting response of Eucalyptus globulus Labill. to various concentrations of calcium, nitrogen, phosphorus, iron, manganese, zinc, boron and copper. The parameters analyzed were percent rooting, root number, root length and mean rooting time. Root number and root length were significantly affected by mineral nutrition, whereas mean rooting time and rooting perc...
